Swapping in a fresh Balm Pearl takes seconds: twist open your pendant, lift out the finished refill, drop in a new one, and cap it. That's it — you're back to smooth, hydrated lips all day.
Prefer your own favorite balm? Our Easy 2-Min. DIY Refill Kit lets you create refills from any standard tube-style balm you already love. Each kit includes 7 inserts, 7 caps, and a reusable 7-cavity mold — all supplies 100% reusable. (Not for children under 12.)
DIY refills, quick & easy:
- Fill each cavity with softened balm and smooth with a spatula.
- Microwave briefly until just melted. CAUTION: HOT!
- Place inserts into melted balm and tap gently so they settle fully into the mold.
- Chill in refrigerator until completely cool.
- Twist the mold gently, like a muffin pan, to release refills — then cap them.

How do I refill my necklace or Bestie?
Your LiLu necklace — or Bestie accessory — securely holds a Balm Pearl in the base of the pendant. Each Balm Pearl comes with a protective cap: press-fit the Balm Pearl into the necklace, cap and all, then gently twist the cap off and it's ready to use! Your finger never touches the balm. No messy application, no germs, no digging through your bag — no realizing you own 10 tubes but still have no balm with you. As the balm runs out, the silicone Balm Pearl makes an excellent lip exfoliator. Then toss it — or keep it to refill with your DIY Kit — and press in a fresh Balm Pearl.

Will the balm melt in hot weather?
No — your necklace holds your Balm Pearl safely and securely, even in hot August weather, even in tropical locations. Our lip balm's melting point is well over 130°F. But, like all cosmetics, don't leave it in a hot car.

We make our balm in small batches with a simple, deeply moisturizing base: coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil. Tinted colors add safe cosmetic-grade pigment. Full ingredients are listed on every product page.
Can I refill it with my own favorite lip balm?
Yes — that's what our Easy 2-Minute Balm Pearl DIY Refill Kit is for. Melt your favorite balm, fill the mold, and make your own Pearls. One tip: use a traditional stick-style balm from a tube — lip tints, lipsticks, and softer balms may not set into stable Balm Pearls. How do I care for my necklace and DIY Kit supplies?
Take your necklace off before showering, swimming, or working out — water, chlorine, and sweat dull any finish over time. Skip liquid jewelry cleaners too: a soft cloth is all it needs, and it keeps cleaner chemicals away from where your balm lives. Wash the DIY Kit mold in hot water with dish detergent, drying completely before every use.
