At the annual Cosmoprof Trade Show, LiLu Lip Care won the Prestige/Mass Innovation in Packaging Award.

LiLu Lip Care Reimagines Lip Balm Packaging

LiLu Lip Care, the Kentucky-based brand behind the patented refillable lip balm system, makes small dose lip balm, called Balm Pearls, that fit into custom jewelry and accessories.

Lip balm lovers understand the pain of digging through a bag, reaching under your car's seat and owning ten tubes and never having one with you. This frustration led founder Meg Meranus to create jewelry and accessories that make it effortless to keep lip balm within reach.

The design earned LiLu the BeautyID Award for Innovation in Packaging at Cosmoprof North America, and the brand has been featured by WWD, KTLA, New York Magazine, and CEW. Eight U.S. patents cover the refill system.

The collection includes two pendant styles — the sphere-shaped Cosette and the teardrop Lexi — in polished, satin, and genuine .925 sterling silver finishes, with balm in four shades made from a simple base of coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil.

An Easy 2-Minute DIY Balm Pearl Refill Kit lets customers use their favorite stick balm to create their own Balm Pearls. Bestie accessories, charming animal characters that can be attached to keys, zippers, purses etc., round out the line.
