Swapping in a fresh Balm Pearl takes seconds: twist open your pendant, lift out the finished refill, drop in a new one, and cap it. That's it — you're back to smooth, hydrated lips all day.
Prefer your own favorite balm? Our Easy 2-Min. DIY Refill Kit lets you create refills from any standard tube-style balm you already love. Each kit includes 7 inserts, 7 caps, and a reusable 7-cavity mold — all supplies 100% reusable. (Not for children under 12.)
DIY refills, quick & easy:
- Fill each cavity with softened balm and smooth with a spatula.
- Microwave briefly until just melted. CAUTION: HOT!
- Place inserts into melted balm and tap gently so they settle fully into the mold.
- Chill in refrigerator until completely cool.
- Twist the mold gently, like a muffin pan, to release refills — then cap them.

Good to know: Small-dose lip balm is more hygienic — it's refreshed far more often than a traditional tube. And every element of the DIY Kit is reusable; for a fully sustainable routine, pair it with a balm packaged in a cardboard tube instead of plastic.
Polished & satin finishes: Premium materials plated with a strong layer of silver or gold for enduring shine — the look and feel of fine jewelry, at a more reasonable price.
Sterling Silver: Genuine .925 sterling silver (approximately 1 oz) with a rhodium finish for lasting brilliance and tarnish resistance — the real thing, made to last a lifetime.
Daily Care: Protect your jewelry by removing it while swimming, showering, exercising, washing your hands, or applying perfumes, lotions, or hair products. Exposure to these — or your skin's natural pH — may cause tarnishing.
Cleaning: Wipe with a soft cloth. Do not use jewelry cleaner.
Balm: Made with natural and organic ingredients — coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and mineral colorants. Scent-free, flavor-free, non-drying, never addicting.
DIY Balm Pearls Kit: Keep your kit fresh. wash all supplies in hot water with dish detergent and dry completely before every use.
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Polyhydroxystearic Acid.

FAQ
How do I refill my necklace or Bestie?
Your LiLu necklace — or Bestie accessory — securely holds a Balm Pearl in the base of the pendant. Each Balm Pearl comes with a protective cap: press-fit the Balm Pearl into the necklace, cap and all, then gently twist the cap off and it's ready to use! Your finger never touches the balm. No messy application, no germs, no digging through your bag — no realizing you own 10 tubes but still have no balm with you. As the balm runs out, the silicone Balm Pearl makes an excellent lip exfoliator. Then toss it — or keep it to refill with your DIY Kit — and press in a fresh Balm Pearl.
When will DIY Kits and Dream Kits be back in stock?
September. Sign up for a back-in-stock alert on the product page and you'll be the first to know.
Will the balm melt in hot weather?
No — your necklace holds your Balm Pearl safely and securely, even in hot August weather, even in tropical locations. Our lip balm's melting point is well over 130°F. But, like all cosmetics, don't leave it in a hot car.
What comes with my necklace?
Every LiLu necklace comes beautifully packaged with 4 Balm Pearl refills in your choice of color — Radiant Red, Berry Blush, Perfect Pink, or Simple Shimmer Clear — or our Easy 2-Minute Balm Pearl DIY Refill Kit
What's in the balm?
We make our balm in small batches with a simple, deeply moisturizing base: coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, and avocado oil. Tinted colors add safe cosmetic-grade pigment. Full ingredients are listed on every product page.
Can I refill it with my own favorite lip balm?
Yes — that's what our Easy 2-Minute Balm Pearl DIY Refill Kit is for. Melt your favorite balm, fill the mold, and make your own Pearls. One tip: use a traditional stick-style balm from a tube — lip tints, lipsticks, and softer balms may not set into stable Balm Pearls. Every DIY Kit ships with a free sample Balm Pearl so you can wear your necklace the day it arrives. Watch the quick demo on our FAQ page.
What are the pendants made of?
Our Cosette and Lexi Polished and Satin pendants are crafted from a high-quality, nickel-free jewelry alloy with robust silver or gold plating — designed to be worn daily and loved for years, at a price that makes gifting easy. Our Cosette Sterling and Lexi Sterling pendants are genuine .925 sterling silver — nearly a full ounce of silver, finished in rhodium to stay bright and resist tarnish. Every pendant, at every price, holds the same patented refillable balm system — the difference is the metal, never the function.
How do I care for my necklace and DIY Kit supplies?
Take your necklace off before showering, swimming, or working out — water, chlorine, and sweat dull any finish over time. Skip liquid jewelry cleaners too: a soft cloth is all it needs, and it keeps cleaner chemicals away from where your balm lives. Wash the DIY Kit mold in hot water with dish detergent, drying completely before every use.
Is LiLu sustainable?
Genuinely, yes. Your necklace is designed to last a lifetime, and everything in the Easy 2-Minute Balm Pearl DIY Refill Kit can be used over and over. Refill with a lip balm sold in a cardboard tube and you've built a nearly zero-waste lip balm routine — no plastic tubes rolling around the bottom of your bag, on your nightstand, on the floor of your car, in jeans you put into the wash... ever again.
What about shipping and returns?
Orders ship quickly from Kentucky via UPS or USPS, always with tracking. Need it fast? Express shipping is available at checkout. And we want you to love your LiLu — if you don't, email meg@lilulipcare.com within 30 days of purchase for a quick and easy refund.
